Fair Play for Israel Rally

This past Sunday was hot! The Fair Play for Israel Rally was hotter. The heat of the rhetoric coming from each speaker was bringing the heat on the administration, the UN and the world. Everyone spoke about the importance of Israel in the world scene. Everyone spoke about the Flotilla attack. The flotilla should have stopped, but I believe they had something to hide from the Israeli Defense Force. This was no massacre, just a political ploy by Free Gaza, Hamas and Hezbollah trying to create a world incident.

Do not believe the TV news they said, only 200 people showed up to the Rally when actually that number was around 1500. Some, just were hiding from the heat and sun. Robert Lowry candidate for District #20 was getting a great tan and so was Ed Lynch. Karen Harrington was enjoying the shade with my wife. All delivered great speeches.

All we want is for Israel to get Fair Play. Why did the Obama Administration leave Israel off the list of countries helping Haiti recover? Why Did the UN convene a special session for the Flotilla, but never condemn North Korea for sinking a South Korean ship. The disturbing rise in Antisemitism around the world is being fueled by hate/terrorist groups like Free Gaza, Hamas and Hezbollah. The UN is now becoming a perpetrator of Antisemitism too still no apologies for the false condemnation of the Flotilla. Do not worry Israel help is coming to the US Congress defenders not detractors.

The Israel Day Parade

May 23rd was a perfect day in New York City. The temperature was right for a beautiful spring day. I was walking in the Israel Day Parade. I am a proud supporter of the nation of Israel. I believe that the nation of Israel has a right to exist. I have been attacked for that stance and will continue to stand up for Israel no matter what.

I was amazed to see that amount of people who flew in from around the country and the world to celebrate Israel’s 62nd birthday! People were singing, dancing and cheering the floats and groups and celebrities. I marched twice in the parade from 55th ave to 74th Ave. I wish I didn’t where a blue suit but it was comfortable outside.

I met with my strategic adviser and friends from the “U” (University of Miami). Then a turn of events happened. I was following a friend to the concert platform and my friend David was asked to speak. He turned and introduced me to a parade official and I was ushered on the speaking stage. As I waited to speak. I had nothing prepared to say, so I thought on what I saw today in the parade. The heartfelt love for the nation of Israel and for the Yeshiva Schools within my area. The Yeshiva Schools within the North Miami Beach and North Miami area are in desperate need of support of the people. I know that times are tough, but people in this great country need to dig to help out these schools to stay open. As I gathered my thoughts, I saw Chairman Michael Steele walked by and shook hands with Michael Faulkner. I had a small chance and I took it. I spoke with the Chairman for about 15 to 20 minutes. I let him know about the state of the Republican Party in Florida and how candidates like myself felt like the GOP was giving me and other great candidates the shaft. He listened and sighed heavily. I could see that it was a concern on his conscience. He let me know how to get him to come down to Florida to campaign for the candidates. I will follow those instructions and we shall see if he comes.

Well, Chairman Steele spoke and it was a great speech and then I was given the same opportunity to speak in front of a crowd of thousands. I let the crowd know my heart and where it is for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. I also let them know how to help the Jewish schools within my area. I shocked and awed and humbled by the response of the crowd. I enjoyed my trip to New York City and I enjoyed my time at the Israel Day Parade.

Are you serious? China = Arizona

First the Assistant Secretary of State needs to be fired by comparing Arizona’s immigration law to China’s human rights abuses. They are not even in the same ballpark playing the same game. This is China who jails people for difference of opinion. China that shoots Muslims in the head for crossing into China or caught practicing their religion within China. Starving North Koreans they ship back or put into concentration/work camps. China who ran over their young students with tanks. I see the similarities between us. Yeah Right! I wish someone in the administration would have stood up to China and gave them a verbal tongue lashing and tell the UN to go to hell. The two have no legs to stand on with us on human rights issues.

This is what drives me crazy about liberals and those always looking for racial divide and drama. Did anyone actually read all 10 pages of the Arizona Immigration Law. Probably, not because if they did then they would not have anything to complain about. Our Attorney General Eric Holder didn’t read the law and was going to litigate on its constitutionality. What a dolt! Of course you are going to have bad cops and rogue cops that are going to abuse this law. Let’s face it they are a minority in the Arizona police force. The law doesn’t take effect until July. So, all of these horror stories you are hearing need to be attributed to the National Immigration Law which has racial profiling in it. Police can ask someone they suspect of being a foreigner for their papers based on looks. Hmmmm….

Let’s look at the real issue.  Illegal Immigration is just that Illegal! You need to enter the country legally. We need to stop giving out handouts. This will help stem the tide of illegal immigration and companies need to stop hiring illegals. We need to punish those companies and their owners. I am not against immigration, just Illegal immigration. We need to shore up our borders. Putting the National guard is a start. Have you tried to break into Mexico. Here is what happens to you. A bullet in your butt or six months in a Mexican jail. Which is just like going to hell. So the President of Mexico can kiss my ass about his disapproval of Arizona’s law. What about your draconian laws? What about you stop stealing money from the Mexican treasury and working with the drug cartels and take care of your people. There is a novel idea try that on for size.

Thank you to Dr. Laz

I know this post is a bit late. I would like to Thank Dr. Laz for hosting a parlor meeting at his house. Dr. Laz is an amazing person for helping ease the tension in the Crown Heights area of New York . I am proud to call him friend and supporter.

We are still in the fight!

Don't call it a comeback!

Myths and legends about the POITIER FOR CONGRESS Campaign.

Myth #1: We didn’t file. This is absolutely wrong! We filed the necessary paperwork and the filing fee. The State had an issue with one of our documents. The next step in our process is to discuss the matter with the State of Florida with an attorney.

Myth #2: We are not planning to run again and we are hiding. No! Wrong again. We licked our wounds under the porch for 24 hours, but we reorganized and have decided to fight this issue with the State of Florida.

Myth #3: We are planning to make a State election run. That is true. We are planning to make a State run. This is only if the State denies our appeal. We will focus on where we are strong and make a run there. The goal is to serve the people.

Myth #4: POITIER FOR CONGRESS is leaving the State of Florida. Dead wrong! We are not planning on leaving the State of Florida. This State is our home and we love it. We plan to fight for it and help the State that has helped me achieve the level of success that my wife and I enjoy.

Myth #5: The campaign manager situation. We had two campaign managers. One got cancer and left us and the other got bought out by a democrat. My wife stepped in and together we ran a Mom and Pop campaign. To say, we fail because we didn’t have a campaign manager is a big insult to my wife and thus an insult to me. If we didn’t hit this speed bump. All the Monday morning quarterbacks would be saying, “The Little Guy can run with the Big Boys!” Right now, all the Monday morning quarterbacks and gossiping hens are saying this crap!

Myth #6: We are leaving the GOP for Democrat Party. Where did this come from? I would rather sell my soul and kiss a dirty bomb. I was upset by the lack of support from the GOP and the fact that they led me by the nose prior to the filing date with money and the “Young Guns” title. For which I have neither from the GOP. I was hurt. Since, I was the only Republican in the race with a strong conservative message. I just felt the cold shoulder from the Broward GOP and Miami GOP. The grassroots and republicans have shown the campaign some love and support and we Thank you!

The POITIER FOR CONGRESS Campaign has reorganized and are primed and ready to make a run. I have taken the opportunity to rest and look back and through the past year of effort to awaken the conservative base and change minds. I have spoken with supporters and friends and we want to serve the people and I still have the fire in my belly to defeat  this radical agenda and steer the nation back on the path to prosperity. Soon I will reveal what we are going to do. Whoever is my opponent in any race had better come prepared. I am in it to win it!

Thank you to Levi Bonnardel.

I would like to thank Levi Bonnardel for having a parlor meeting so that people could meet me on a one-on-one basis. The debate was spirited and lively. I learned a lot from the guests and I hope that they learned a lot from me. Thank you again for being a gracious host Levi.

The Tamarac Republican Club

I would like to thank The Tamarac, Margate, Coconut Creek Republican Club. Say that three times fast for having me come out and speak at their meeting on Thursday. President Gene Robinson was a great host. He made sure we were taken care of during the meeting. I look forward to the assistance of the TMCC Republican Club in the future.

THE AFL-CIO DEBATE

I would like to thank the AFL-CIO for having me on the congressional debate forum. Jim Defede was great and Fred Frost was a great host! I enjoyed the opportunity to speak to the union heads and give them a new point of view.

We need to Stop Senate Bill 6 (SB6)

This Florida Senate Bill will destroy education within this State for the unforeseeable future. This bill will put the raises of Teachers in the hands of the students.  Why can’t we have a normal raise system based on the COLA and individual experience and job performance. As an educator, I have seen students fail a class on purpose and watch a teacher get fired. This will create a great social promotion than ever before. You will see good teachers leave them system. This Bill is supposed to root out bad teachers, but it will get rid of both kinds of teachers. Where are the Teachers Unions to protect the Teachers from this kind of Bill.  So, write and call your local legislator and tell to vote “No!” on this bill. Save the State of Florida teachers! Remember, anyone voting “yes” for this destructive Bill vote them out!

To Buck the Wheat?

To all people of District #17 and The President of the United States,

Last night at the Broward Republican Executive Committee Meeting. I was giving a speech about my campaign and the Healthcare Bill. I was referring to the process of constitutionality of the Healthcare Bill when the infamous quote was uttered, “Listen up, Buckwheat this is not how it is done!” I was not referring to President Obama or any memeber of the House of Representatives in that statement. It was a comment said, off the cuff. Yes, I did say, this quote. I apologize for the comment. It was in no means meant to offend the President, the Black Congressional Caucus and mainly the African-American people of District #17.

I realize that saying such words and conjuring up such imagery of the past still hurts and haunts people today. I plan to contact the President and apologize to him for the comment. A Statesman is someone who looks at today, tomorrow and the future, but that person is still human and bound by human emotion and fraility. I am far from a racist or Black/White Supremicist. That notion is ridiculous.  I have experienced racism in my life and no how it feels to have someone judge you on skin color and not the content of your character. I believe it is the utmost patriotism to disagree with one’s leaders. It  is the foundation of our society and government.

Channel 4 CBS interview: http://cbs4.com/politics/Corey.r.Republican.2.1587792.html

Again, President Obama, “I apologize for offending you.” I look forward to speaking with you about this issue and clearing the air. I apologize to anyone that was offended and took this comment for racism.

Candidate for US Congress, CD #17
