Prado Might Make A Difference For The Braves
No 1 player makes a team, but Martin Prado’s recent hand damage may possibly have a significant effect because the Atlanta Braves progress toward the National League East division title. His injuries happened Friday night in Cincinnati during the 10th inning of a 6-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds. His disabled list status will last until August 16.
Prado stated that his finger got stuck in a tiny hole inside the dirt beside the house plate when he dove head initial. While the X-rays were inconclusive, the tests on Saturday discovered the smaller fracture, and it was decided it would not require surgery. A “stable avulsion fracture”, when some tendon separates from the bone, is painful, “I felt it” Prado mentioned. “It was not normal pain.”

Diory Hernandez was known as up from Triple-A Gwinnett as an active infielder to fill the missing role. Hernandez will most likely be a spot starter and a pinch hitter more than the next two weeks because the team uses All Star Omar Infante because the everyday infielder. Omar is really a flexible player who has also started as shortstop, outfielder and third base this season for Atlanta.
Hernandez is also a suitable replacement, he was batting .319 as he played briefly with the parent club 1 year ago. Unfortunately, he recently struck out against Met’s starter Johan Santana while pinch hitting inside sixth inning.
The injury has disappointed Prado, who said “The most crucial video games are coming up and I want to be a part of it.” Braves manager Bobby Cox is optimistic but concerned saying “If he [Prado] was only going to become out a couple of days, we could wait, but I don’t believe it would be beneficial if he’s going to become out for like 10 days.” Braves fans feel the same way, and his injuries was discussed on many on the net sports sites.
